Latest development - abuse of front lawn – the progressive killing of a potentially delightful facility. A request for advice on ‘lawn treatment’ after the ‘vandalism’ by my neighbour, 157 High Street DY9, and his dog of the publicly-owned green space in front of my fine apartment was sent to the Council (telephone conversation with DCPlus) on 2nd November 2020 – Grounds Maintenance and the Area Housing Manager will be sent my request, apparently; no reply received (as at 12th November). Yesterday's search (11/11) for pest controllers who might help-out returned no interest, after perhaps a dozen calls, and today’s search for local gun-shops returned 3 results: Brierley Guns: "Winding me up!". DAI Leisure: "Can't kill dogs mate". Sandwell Field Sports Opens 11am Fri.(also Mon, Wed.) [Negative response] Note that the Stourbridge News nor the Express & Star will carry an advertisement for a "good shot". 12th November 2020 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update: Text message sent to Cannon Clay Shooting Ground, 18th November 2020: Hi there; I'm looking for someone to see to my neighbour's dog (157 High St DY9) that's killing-off the front lawn. Often on a lead - I need a 'good shot' ! DA. [No response.] Email sent to Stourbridge Old Edwardian Rifle Club, Secretary: Ian Marshall: Regarding: Marksman Required! Morning Ian, Rang your business number just now - sorry about that! This is not an urgent request [that is, Ian would not find it urgent], though monies are on offer and I consider the matter as urgent! I need someone to 'see to' my neighbour's dog (at 157 High Street DY9 8LT) that is gradually killing-off the front lawn; I've rung around the many pest controllers and a few gun-shops but no interest has been returned - many claim it's an illegal pursuit, but a vet can 'put-down' a dog and this is very much a pest! The dog is usually on a lead, so a 'good shot' is required. [Again no response.] 24th November 2020
